Food insecurity continues to affect families throughout our community. You can make a difference by giving cash gifts to local food programs. Monetary donations allow food shelves to purchase what is most needed and reduce waste.

Help Families in Crisis

If you would like to assist families with needs beyond food, such as help with utilities, childcare, rent, or transportation, the Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) Good Samaritan Fund provides one-time crisis support to eligible households.

Inspire Generosity, Strengthen Community

The Inspire Generosity Fund, powered by WACF, supports community-led projects that meet ongoing needs and strengthen our collective wellbeing.

  • Community food pack initiatives

Meet the Team

Willmar Lakes Area Vision 2040 is a movement based off an evolving plan created by the citizens of the Willmar Lakes Area. This plan is overseen by a Steering Committee consisting of the following people and includes an inspiring mix of both public and private, non-profit and for-profit in addition to citizens of all types of backgrounds.
