Community Conversation About Difference at Ridgewater College

Ridgewater College, in collaboration with Willmar Vision 2040 and MnCampus Compact, is pleased to be hosting a Community Conversation about Difference on April 13th from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM in the Student Center cafeteria on the Willmar Campus.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.  In a world that seems increasingly fragmented and where our differences frequently divide us, this will be an opportunity for everyone to learn about the people who make up our community—young and old, of all different backgrounds and colors, each with a different story, and to explore our differences and discover what unites us as well.  In a similar fashion to what’s highlighted in the video below, participants will celebrate difference and in the process discover where we stand together.

Testimonials
From our community volunteers

“I'm proud to volunteer and support the efforts of Vision 2040 because creating a healthy community takes a collabortive effort. No one person or entity can create a community where people want to live and work and play, but working together we can create it. Vision 2040 started with an inclusive effort to bring together people from across our region to articulate their vision of the future of our region's communities. The goals that emerged from that vision offer everyone the opportunity to share in the collaborative work necessary to create a healthy and vibrant region--and that's a good thing for all of us.”

Dr. Douglas Allen, Ridgewater College

I made connections with community members and found many common visions.  I have begun to get more active in the community due to the connections.
